Police Disperse Parading Group
Police Sunday [5th] dispersed a crowd of persons, reportedly members of the New Orleans Council for Peaceful Alternatives, attempting to stage a march from Audobon Park down St. Charles ave. about 9 a.m.
Maj. P.J. Trosclair, Jr., head of the police intelligence division, said the group, carrying placards, is protesting the use of nuclear weapons. He said the persons involved "gave no trouble" and dispersed quietly after it was pointed out to them that their City Hall permit was issued for last Friday.
