Hon. Richard E. Robey
Special Agent,
Office of Compliance & Security,
Federal Aviation Agency,
Washington 25, D. C.Dear Dick:
The purpose of this letter is twofold. First off I need a small favor, and secondly I have some information for you which may bring to light some very important facts concerning a connection between Oswald the subject who assinated [sic] President Kennedy and Captain David W. Ferrie.
First. There is a crack-pot employed at the same place my wife is, who is a relief telephone operator whose name is [...]. This person lords it over the other employees there declaring that she is a Special Informant for the F.B.I. In fact, this screw-ball reported my wife, Paula Mae Martin as being a communist, just because my wife picks up my mail at our post office box everyday and brings it home...because of the fact that a part of this correspondence comes from outside the U.S., like Canada, England, and even from France, Rome (Vatican), et cetera.
This "B-S" has nearly caused my wife to loose he[r] job...inasmuch as, an amateuerish Keystone=Kop-Mutt-n-Jeff, question and answer session followed.
Furthermore, I had qualified as a candidate for the offices (both positions) Member of the Democratic State Central Committee; as well as for Member, Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee; to be brought to vote during the the December 7th, Democratic Primary Election here in Louisiana. However, because of this...or primarily because of this, so-called big investigation, and the stinking talk it has caused in political circles, I have had to withdraw from the election. I would like to know, since when, has our Government Agency, the F.B.I. become the Bureau of Inquisition?
[at the bottom of this paragraph, and the beginning of the next, there is a fold in the copied document, which obscures a few words. I have indicated my interpolations.--JPS]
Well, Dick, I am certain that you know much better than this...as do I. Although, both my wife and I have suffered needlessly over this, and as well known as I am...I feel that such a thing should have been discarded as nonsense at once...which it was not. Hence, it is that there should be a good old head-rolling...And some should come from top-staff echelon...in this cas[e] the office of J. Edgar Hoover. Will you put in a word on this for me...And have this matter cleared at once...Because, if they won't do it themselves, I'm going to be forced to have the Federal Courts take action on it to Cl[ear?] the Air, as it were, because of the gravity of its nature... to say [nothing?] of the damages involved.
Secondly, in reference to Ferrie. Don't your case records [on?] Ferrie show that this guy Oswald was a member of Ferrie's so-cal[led?] phoney [sic] CAP Squadron[?] Remember, all of those large group pictures...Wasn't his picture in these?

-----------------------------------------------
Perhaps you will also remember...Ferrie had a bunch of these foreign rifles that he used to train his cadets with...Furthermore, I understand that Ferrie had been getting mail from those Cuban people Oswald was connected with...At least this is what W. Hardy Davis tells me...He says that Gill raised hell with Ferrie over having this type of propaganda at his office.
We might also take it into consideration that Ferrie was a professional hypnotist...That h e [sic] used posthypnotic suggestion on his so-called cadets, and also in the private practice of psychology here, when he advertised himself as a "Ph.D."...
Moreover...Suffice[ ]it to say, I am also told that Ferrie had been in and out of town on several occasions just prior to this Kennedy business... Where was he...
We might also remember Ferrie's connection with the Cubans. And that these people dumped him because of his certain pro-Castro activities..._Also how about Ferrie's Cuban airplane flights, and the time he loaned his plane to Cubans..._ If you remember correctly...Sergio Arcacha of the Fronte [sic], dropped Ferrie after this...And Carlos Corega [sic] of that group of anti-Castro people always referred to Ferrie as no-good...red..et cetera.
At least Ferrie could have taught this subject Oswald how to use such a weapon, and he could have also told this person just how to acquire such a gun...its simplicity of purchase, et cetera. Furthermore...Was not this the person (Oswald) that Ferrie helped to get into the Marine Corps....
As you know...Ferrie is the kind of a person who could have planned such a thing as this...and he is very capable...of such a terrible thing...
Dick. At least...These facts bear investigation...and I hope this reminder may lend some small part to uncovering the dastardly facts behind what has happened.
Thanking you in advance, I remain respectfully your friend -
Sincerely,
J A C K
PS: Let's hear from you about this business regarding my wife, if you have the time...And let me know if I can get you any additional info, or do you any favor in the future...JSM

[...]YOUR NAME AND SOME OF THESE FACTS ABOUT FERRIE - - - I THOUGHT IT BEST TO CONTACT THEM...TOO.. Jack
[end of letter]
What's this about Ferrie's "pro-Castro activities?" And "Carlos Corega" calling him a "red?"
