Jury Calls MCC Chiefs
Evidence on Organized Crime in N.O. Aim[...]
[At this time, Jim Garrison was engaged in a heated public dispute over the existence of organized crime with Aaron Kohn and the Metropolitan Crime Commission]
He [Garrison] also predicted that [Aaron] Kohn "in his desperation" will find red herrings and "will resort to every variety of emergency fabrication."
"We will undoubtedly learn that I have been seen on a street car at the same time as Bugsy Schwartz, the famous burglar," said Garrison. "Or, that I was in New York City at the same time as Machine-gun Brady.
"His [Kohn's] standard technique in such encounters is to use guilt by association. This is very much like the squid which, when attacked, injects black fluid into the eyes of his opponent."

Here we see Garrison presciently mocking such witnesses as Vernon Bundy and the Clinton crowd and his own propinquity analyses.
